Year of 2015 is Liu Tianhua's 120th anniversary. He is a well known traditional Chinese music composer. Rong Jun, a well known erhu player in Vancouver, collaborated with a publisher in China to record ten pieces that Liu Tianhua composed for erhu. The album is produced to celebrate his anniversary.
The album has been published in China for the Chinese Folk Music Masters Series and distributed nationwide. The album is an official publication in China of year 2015.
In the album, includes a biography of Liu Tianhua and program notes on each piece in both Chinese and English. This will help the audience know the composer and understand his music.
2015年是中国著名作曲家刘天华诞辰120周年纪念，温哥华著名二胡演奏家戎峻与中国的音乐出版社合作制作了刘天华二胡曲十首专辑并作为刘天华诞辰120周年的纪念光碟，以刘天华十首二胡曲经典诠释为标题在中国正式出版发行。
这盘专辑是用一把二胡独奏，完全无伴奏的形式录制的，这也是刘天华作品原貌。刘天华的十首二胡曲是中国二胡音乐中的重要文献，在历史上，对二胡音乐和演奏的发展有极大的推动作用，在传统的二胡音乐领域里有不可取代的地位，也是二胡演奏家们必备的保留曲目。
